This interactive virtual session helps parents move from feeling like they must fix their children’s weaknesses to feeling confident about nurturing what is uniquely strong in each child. It blends stories, coaching, and simple Gallup-based tools so families can turn everyday moments into opportunities for growth.
Session overview
“Parenting from a Place of Strength” introduces the core strengths formula—talent multiplied by investment equals strength—and shows why children thrive when adults focus more on what they naturally do well than on deficits. Using the playful “Animal School” rabbit fable, the session reframes the pressure to make kids well‑rounded and invites parents to honor the “rabbit” in their own child instead of forcing them to be a “swimmer.”
What parents will experience
A guided mindset shift from deficit‑based parenting to strengths‑based parenting, with practical examples of how traits like “bossy,” “stubborn,” or “chatty” can be reframed as early signs of themes such as Command, Focus, Belief, or Communication.
Two breakout discussions: first, “The Spark,” where parents share real moments when their child was fully alive and “in the zone,” and second, “Reframing the Struggle,” where they practice seeing frustrating behaviors as the shadow side of potential talents.
